iPhone 5 Leak photos show dual flash, other features

Leaked photos indicate Apple Inc.'s next-generation iPhone 5 may lack a dual LED flash, according to an Apple enthusiast site.

MacRumors noted an "increasing number of small leaks" as the iPhone's "design is finalized and production begins to ramp up."

"The new parts are definitely different from the existing iPhone 4 parts, though the superficial changes seem unrevealing," MacRumors said, referring to the to the battery, back camera lens, and headphone/earphone audio jack flex cable.

MacRumors said the claimed iPhone 5 battery is of roughly the same shape of the existing iPhone 4 battery and pack roughly the same power.

The back camera module shows a closely embedded camera flash much like the iPhone 4, contrary to earlier rumors of a dual LED flash for the iPhone 5.

But it said the iPhone 5's camera has been rumored to be an 8-megapixel camera, upgraded from the 5-megapixel camera in the iPhone 4.

Also, MacRumors cited the Audio Jack Flex cable that it said looks "very different from the existing GSM and CDMA parts."

MacRumors said the iPhone 5 is widely expected to launch in September or October. — TJD, GMA News
