It was the most talked about moment at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards and essentially answered the prayers of teenage girls from coast to coast. Stars of the wildly popular “Twilight Saga” Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner finally quit sharing Kristen Stewartand instead shared a kiss during the live awards show.
“There’s someone else in the audience who would appreciate [a kiss]… in fact I know he will,” Rob told Kristen during their acceptance speech after winning Best Kiss. The “Breaking Dawn” star then raced down into the audience and planted a wet one on the face of his on-screen nemesis to the delight of thousands of shrieking girls.
The award was the third in the row that Rob and Kristen had taken home, and was also one of five the Twilight team picked up, including Best Male Performance (Rob), Best Female Performance (Kristen) and Best Movie for last year’s “Eclipse.”
