Talk about freaky! In South Africa on Sunday, a man woke up in a morgue fridge after being declared dead nearly a day earlier.
After an asthma attack, the family of the 80-year-old man thought that the he had died. They called in Ayanda Maqolo, a morgue owner, who checked his pulse and breathing and confirmed that the man was, in fact, dead. That makes us wonder…shouldn’t they have called in a medical professional to determine that the man was really no longer alive? Anyway, twenty-one hours later, he woke up in the morgue refrigerator and was absolutely terrified.
He started screaming for help, causing the morgue employees to think that perhaps a ghost was occupying the refrigerator. To ensure safety in case some paranormal spirit tried to hurt them, Maqolo decided to call the police. They showed up with their firearms and proceeded to open the fridge, only to discover the man alive, breathing, and horrified out of his mind. They quickly rushed him to the hospital, deemed him in stable condition, and sent him home just as his family had convened to make funeral arrangements. Of course, they’re very happy to have him back! If this guy can survive an asthma attack and a haunting experience in a morgue, we think he can survive anything!
